Apartment Review for Calabria Apartments - Anaheim, CA

when we first saw this apartment, the manager seemed very helpful n nice, that quickly degraded once we were actual tenants. the manager (russ barre) insists on getting personal with all the tenants to the point where it is quite irritating. absolutely not professional! being concerned about your tenants is quite different from getting into their lives n trying control it, this is what she does - like a nosy in-law. don't be fooled with her (sickeningly) sweet honeyed words, there is no sincerity behind it. maintainance-wise they do eventually get around to fixing whatever needs to be done, however its shoddy workmanship & very very slow. there is an office on location (though it is more like a storage room than an office). the manager says the office is not a secure location n keeps all packages/parcels at her place resulting in further problems between tenant & manager relations. its exhausting! another thing, there are constant water shut-offs at least once per week, sometimes even unannounced. there have been a couple of robberies n break-ins in the past, now the place is camera monitored. as for overall appearance its very basic. just a plain pink building with underground parking (2 assigned spots per tenant). the front itty-bitty lawn is okay but children r not allowed to walk or play there. bottomline, this would be a much better place if there was a change of manager!!
