Apartment Review for The Grand Resort - Anaheim, CA

There are many many problems I can touch on dealing with this property. The management is a joke, and often uses bait and switch on potential renters. Many also live on property and break any rule they want and if you complain justifiably, YOU get cited or evicted. The buildings themselves are in VERY poor condition (don't let the glossy makeover fool you, the apartments are STILL 50 years out of date) Security USED to be decent (not perfect but decent), now i dont know who to fear more, the people breaking in or the ARMED security force. At least the "old guys" worked without instigating further potential hazards by NOT bringing firearms into the heart of gangland. Parking is "ok" as long as you dont mind a healthy walk in oftentimes dark parking lots. The trash rooms are a joke and often neglected and rancid. a few months back someone actually took a crap in one and the pile of crap sat there for 3-4 days before SOMEONE cleaned it up. The swimming pool is a health hazard, the "gated community" is often left wide open (either gates are intentionally left wide open or more often than not, the pedestrian doors are left open or are broken. About the ONLY nice thing about this complex is the fitness center. It is by far, the most stocked for equipment fitness center I have ever seen. I was SOOO glad to leave this overpriced and outdated dump... I fear now for those who have to contend with the thugs they call the security there. It's only a matter of time before SOMEONE gets shot.
